Key Responsibilities
As an MEP BIM Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing, reviewing, and coordinating BIM models to ensure accurate construction and seamless project delivery.
BIM Coordination & Model Management
Coordinate and manage MEP BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD
Review and control LOD 400 and LOD 500 models prepared by BIM modelers
Ensure LOD 400 models comply with consultant designs, specifications, and project requirements
Maintain high levels of model accuracy, consistency, and coordination
As-Built & LOD 500 Model Verification
Develop and verify LOD 500 (As-Built) BIM models
Update models based on:
Red-line drawings
Site survey reports
Laser scanning and point cloud data
Ensure final models reflect actual site conditions for handover
Clash Detection & Coordination
Perform clash detection and resolution across all MEP disciplines
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal BIM teams
Participate in coordination meetings and track design issues to closure
Ensure smooth interdisciplinary coordination throughout the project lifecycle
Standards, Documentation & Compliance
Implement and maintain BIM standards, workflows, and quality control
Ensure full compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and client requirements
Manage BIM documentation and data accuracy
Support project handover requirements with validated digital deliverables
MEP Disciplines Covered
Candidates must have strong coordination experience across the following MEP services:
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning)
Plumbing Systems
Firefighting & Fire Protection Systems
Electrical Systems
Required Skills & Expertise
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
Strong knowledge of MEP services and construction practices
Excellent understanding of BIM workflows, standards, and coordination processes
Proven experience in COBie data creation, validation, and handover (Mandatory)
Hands-on experience in model review, coordination meetings, and issue tracking
Ability to lead BIM teams, guide modelers, and meet strict project deadlines
Strong communication and coordination skills in a multi-disciplinary environment
