About the Senior Accountant Role
As a senior accountant in Qatar, you will be responsible for managing the company’s core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting management with reliable financial insights.
This role goes beyond routine accounting. You will act as a key financial controller, coordinating multiple accounting areas while ensuring deadlines and reporting standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Core Accounting & Financial Operations
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) efficiently
Maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) records
Coordinate and support payroll processing
Ensure timely invoicing, expense tracking, and vendor payments
🔹 Reporting & Closing
Handle monthly financial closing activities
Prepare weekly and monthly management reports
Ensure financial data accuracy for internal decision-making
🔹 Budgeting & Forecasting
Oversee budget planning and monitoring
Manage cash flow analysis and financial forecasting
Identify cost control and optimization opportunities
🔹 Compliance & Audit
Ensure full compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Maintain proper financial documentation and records
Support audit readiness and external/internal audit processes
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant
Agency or service industry experience is an added advantage
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
