About the Role
Toyota’s Shared Services Department is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst – Accounts Payable. This role supports the Accounts Payable (AP) and Intercompany functions through accurate reporting, financial analysis, compliance activities, and continuous process improvement.
You will work closely with the AP Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal auditors, and external partners. This is a non-AP operations role, meaning it does not involve day-to-day processing of invoices but focuses on analytical, reporting, audit-related, and improvement tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly AP reports, including aging analysis, fluctuation analysis, and headcount reporting.
- Maintain strong reporting accuracy by following Toyota’s financial standards.
- Support balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with SOX and internal control requirements.
- Work with internal audit teams, external auditors, and AP stakeholders to support annual audits.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Document, update, and enhance AP processes to deliver better accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze trends, assist in system improvements, and contribute to AP policy updates.
- Support intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Monitor AP KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics.
- Work with SAP and reporting tools to extract, validate, and analyze financial data.
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, Toyota requires:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional accounting or AP experience.
- Hands-on experience in preparing journal entries, supporting audits, and performing reconciliations.
- Experience handling multi-company or multi-plant environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced Excel knowledge (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas).
- Familiarity with SAP or other major ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong teamwork mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with financial governance, internal controls, or SOX is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP AP or intercompany module exposure.
- CPA or equivalent certification.
- Experience leading AP improvement projects.
