The Pre-University Education (PUE) division plays a vital role in shaping the academic and operational excellence of QF’s schools and educational centers. To support this mission, PUE is seeking a strategic and experienced Manager – Budgeting and Reporting to lead financial planning and reporting across its entities.
Role Overview
As the Manager – Budgeting and Reporting, you will be responsible for developing and executing budgeting strategies, financial reporting frameworks, and long‑term planning initiatives for PUE and its affiliated institutions.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of financial principles within the education sector. You will work closely with budget holders, directors, and external partners to ensure financial transparency, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the budget development and financial planning process for PUE and its entities.
- Provide monthly performance updates to budget holders, highlighting variances and trends.
- Analyze financial reports and investigate anomalies or significant deviations from budgeted figures.
- Develop and maintain KPIs and financial dashboards to monitor performance.
- Ensure compliance with QF’s accounting standards and best practices in financial management.
- Oversee the annual audit process, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and reports.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for PUE centers, including schools and educational programs.
- Review and evaluate commercial proposals and budgets from external partners.
- Drive automation and process improvements in budgeting and reporting workflows.
- Provide strategic advice on financial and commercial matters across PUE.
- Supervise and mentor the budgeting and reporting team, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) are highly preferred.
Experience:
- 8–10 years of full‑time experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Prior experience in budgeting and finance within higher education is desirable.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong grasp of budgeting principles, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Expertise in financial modeling, policy analysis, and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with bidding processes and both quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.
- Excellent conceptual and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in spoken and written English; Arabic proficiency is an added advantage.
