Role Purpose – What You’ll Do
As a Clinical Operations Associate, you will act as a bridge between clinical delivery and operational teams. Your role ensures clinical decisions are safe, consistent, and aligned with best practice across ADHD and ASD pathways.
You will be a key escalation point for clinical queries, contribute to governance activities, support incident management, and help maintain smooth and compliant care pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Operational Oversight
Provide expert clinical guidance on ADHD assessments, ASD pathways, medication titration, and side-effect management
Act as a clinical escalation contact for internal teams and practicing clinicians
Issue and correct prescriptions when required
Support medication management specialists with clinical advice
Ensure consistent clinical cover, including mailbox triage and rota oversight
Participate in complex multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions
Interview clinician candidates and provide informed hiring recommendations
Clinical Governance & Risk Management
Support investigations into clinical incidents and complaints
Communicate with clinicians involved in incidents, offering guidance and reflective learning support
Advise on risk categorization, safeguarding, and escalation processes
Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Support CQC compliance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Review trends and lessons learned to improve patient safety
Data & Information Governance
Review clinical records for Subject Access Requests (SARs)
Ensure safe and accurate disclosure of sensitive medical information
Provide clinical interpretation of external reports and documentation
Collaboration & Service Improvement
Translate clinical insight into operational improvements
Support onboarding and training of non-clinical teams
Strengthen clinical handovers and communication across services
Contribute to recruitment and clinician onboarding processes
Essential Qualifications & Experience
You Must Have:
Registration as a healthcare professional (Nurse, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Physician Associate, or similar)
Active registration with NMC, HCPC, GMC, or equivalent body
Hands-on experience in ADHD and/or ASD clinical pathways
Strong understanding of clinical risk, safeguarding, and incident management
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Confidence in balancing clinical judgment with operational demands
