Job Summary
Zanaya Shipping Services LLC is currently hiring a Male Accountant to join its finance department in Dubai. This role is ideal for accounting professionals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the shipping and logistics industry while working in a structured and supportive work environment.
The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, supporting month-end closing processes, handling accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations. The position requires strong attention to detail, basic to intermediate accounting knowledge, and the ability to work accurately under deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant at Zanaya Shipping Services LLC, your responsibilities will include:
Managing daily accounting operations, including journal entries and ledger maintenance
Performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities
Assisting with preparation of financial reports and internal summaries
Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Monitoring expenses and ensuring proper cost allocation
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Assisting during internal and external audits
Ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations and FTA reporting requirements
Coordinating with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and process efficiency
Accounting & Compliance Focus
This role plays an important part in maintaining financial accuracy and regulatory compliance within the organization. The accountant will support VAT filings, audit preparation, and adherence to internal financial controls. Knowledge of UAE tax regulations and experience with accounting software will be beneficial in ensuring smooth and compliant financial operations.
Candidates with prior exposure to audit processes or ERP systems will have an added advantage, especially in managing documentation and reporting requirements in the logistics sector.
Required Qualifications & Skills
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Audit experience is an added advantage
Familiarity with ZOHO Books or ZOHO ERP is an added advantage
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
