Job Summary
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance department with daily accounting operations. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements and monthly report
- Handle accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledgers
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Process invoices and coordinate with internal departments
- Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Monitor petty cash and expense claims
- Generate reports for management as needed
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
- Familiarity with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good communication skills in English
- Knowledge of VAT and UAE financial regulations is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
