The Role: Software Developer (Full Stack)

This consultancy is seeking a full-stack developer to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC), with the potential to transition into a permanent role. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team, working closely with designers, testers, and project managers to deliver applications that will be used across the public sector.
Tech Stack & Skills
You’ll be working with modern technologies and practices, including:
Node.js—for building scalable backend services
JavaScript—the backbone of interactive web applications
SQL—for efficient database management
Test-Driven Development (TDD)—ensuring robust and reliable code
Cloud exposure—beneficial but not mandatory

Location & Flexibility
This role is remote-first, giving you the freedom to work from home. However, the team values collaboration and connection, so you’ll meet up with colleagues once every six weeks in one of the following cities:
Manchester
Leeds
London
Newcastle
You’ll attend whichever location is closest to you, making it convenient and flexible.

Security Requirements
