The accountant role supports Graco’s EMEA operations by ensuring accurate and efficient financial entry, analysis, reconciliations, and compliance across various European entities, including the company’s core Belgian operations.
About the Job Role
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing accurate accounting entries and providing strong financial support for Graco’s Belgian entities as well as smaller EMEA branches. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting, cross-border financial work, and contributing to organization-wide financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Performing daily accounting data entry across multiple categories, including invoices, expenses, bank transactions, and miscellaneous entries.

Conducting thorough accounting data analysis and reconciliation for the Belgian entities.

Preparing month-end closing entries such as accruals, prepaids, and payroll-related adjustments.

Taking full responsibility for the bookkeeping of at least one smaller EMEA entity and one branch office.

Updating and maintaining VAT transactions for the EMEA region in accordance with regulations.

Assisting in finance-related projects that focus on efficiency, standardization, digitalization, and system improvements.

Supporting the AP Supervisor and Accounting Manager with day-to-day finance operations.

Attending relevant EMEA compliance training sessions and webinars.
This role plays a key part in maintaining accounting accuracy across multiple regions, ensuring compliance, and supporting streamlined financial reporting within the organization.
What You Need to Bring
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

3–5 years of proven experience in international accounting and VAT processes.

Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, along with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word.

Fluency in English and at least one additional European language.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Previous experience with Oracle software (preferred but not required).
