Detailed Role Responsibilities: Your Impact Day-to-Day
As our new accountant, you will take ownership of a broad spectrum of financial activities, ensuring the smooth and transparent flow of all monetary transactions. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following critical areas:
- Daily Transaction Management: Meticulously manage and record day-to-day financial transactions, including ledger entries, bank reconciliations, processing of accounts payable and receivable, and comprehensive record-keeping of all invoices and receipts.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. A crucial part of this involves diligently preparing for and executing VAT filings and other statutory returns in full compliance with UAE tax laws and regulations.
- Accounts Monitoring: Proactively monitor and manage accounts receivables to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts and manage accounts payables to maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Budgeting & Financial Controls: Provide essential support in the annual and periodic budgeting process, forecasting financial needs, and monitoring expenditures against approved budgets. You will also assist in internal and external financial audits, ensuring all documentation is ready and processes are compliant.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with all relevant UAE accounting standards (e.g., IFRS where applicable), local company policies, and internal control frameworks to maintain the utmost integrity in all financial operations.
- System Integrity: Maintain and utilize the company's accounting software effectively (proficiency in Zoho Books is a distinct advantage), ensuring data accuracy and system reliability for all financial processes.

- Educational Foundation: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field from a recognized university. A strong academic record demonstrating quantitative and analytical aptitude is highly valued.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of verifiable accounting experience is required. Experience gained specifically within the UAE market (UAE experience) is strongly preferred, as it demonstrates an existing understanding of local financial reporting and tax structures (VAT).
- Software Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency and practical experience with modern accounting software. Prior exposure to and proficiency with Zoho Books will significantly accelerate your integration into our team and processes.
- Analytical & Reporting Excellence: Proven strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and present clear, actionable reports to non-finance stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail & Organization: Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with excellent organizational skills. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple financial streams concurrently while maintaining rigorous accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
