Project Accountant – Job Responsibilities
As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations related to the project while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Key Accounting & Finance Duties
Maintain accurate project accounts using ERP systems (SAP)
Post journal vouchers, bank vouchers, and accounting entries
Manage fixed asset registers and asset capitalization records
Prepare and submit Withholding Tax (WHT) reports through tax consultants
Perform monthly and yearly financial closing activities
Coordinate with branch offices for consolidated reporting
Support internal and external audits with proper documentation
Process vendor invoices as per contracts and purchase orders
Handle vendor reconciliations and monthly ageing analysis
Manage debtor accounts and customer reconciliations
Issue credit notes and process claims as required
Prepare MIS reports for management review
Handle petty cash, reimbursements, and expense tracking
Prepare daily fund flow and cash position reports
Coordinate with banks for fund management and official transactions
Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliation statements
Execute local and overseas vendor payments through online banking
Manage retention money settlements after project completion
Handle e-invoice preparation and issuance as per regulations
Job Requirements & Eligibility Criteria
Mandatory Requirements
Valid NOC for transfer inside Qatar
Available to join immediately
Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry
Strong experience in project accounting and ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Korean construction companies
Hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA
Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, reporting, data analysis)
