Key Responsibilities of the Accountant Role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the firm’s financial records and ensuring all accounting activities comply with IFRS standards and internal controls.
Core Accounting & Finance Duties
Perform daily bookkeeping and record financial transactions accurately
Manage income, expenses, petty cash, and receipt vouchers
Handle client invoicing, payment follow-ups, and outstanding balances
Ensure timely receipt of client payments without delays
Maintain organized records for clients, vendors, suppliers, and employees
Prepare and verify payment vouchers and disbursement requests
Ensure third-party payments are processed on time
Payroll & Compliance Responsibilities
Manage timesheets, payroll processing, and WPS wage system
Maintain employee financial records and documentation
Coordinate with the legal department for service status updates and monthly reports
Financial Reporting & Controls
Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss statements
Draft Cash Flow Statements, Balance Sheets, and Equity Statements
Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure alignment with financial statements
Maintain internal accounting controls and financial confidentiality
Assist in developing accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills Required
Educational & Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in professional firms
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes
Technical & Soft Skills
Proficiency in ERP systems
Advanced MS Excel skills
