Key Job Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP) Duties
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing supplier payments and ensuring proper documentation:
Process supplier invoices accurately and within payment timelines
Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes
Prepare payment schedules and process cheques or bank transfers
Maintain updated vendor accounts and resolve payment discrepancies
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
Maintain proper records for audit and reporting purposes
Accounts Receivable (AR) Duties
The role also involves handling customer billing and collections:
Prepare and issue customer invoices without delays
Track receivables and follow up on outstanding customer payments
Maintain accurate customer ledgers and aging reports
Coordinate with sales and operations teams to ensure billing accuracy
Support cash flow management through timely collections
General Accounting Responsibilities
In addition to AP & AR, the accountant will support overall finance operations:
Maintain organized accounting records and financial files
Assist in monthly closing activities and account reconciliations
Prepare basic journal entries and ledger updates
Support internal and external audit requirements
Generate reports using accounting software and MS Excel
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 3–4 years of practical experience in AP & AR functions
