Sr. Manager/Director of People Operations & Talent
We are seeking a dynamic senior manager/director of people operations & talent to lead our HR and talent strategy. This is a pivotal role where you will design scalable people systems, attract top talent, and shape the employee experience in a high‑growth SaaS environment. You’ll be both strategic and hands‑on, working closely with leadership to build a compliant, inclusive, and high‑performing workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Full lifecycle ownership: Manage 3–5 open roles at a time, from sourcing to onboarding.
- Strategic hiring: Partner with managers to forecast staffing needs and design recruiting strategies.
- Inclusive candidate experience: Conduct interviews, assess fit, and ensure seamless communication.
- ATS management: Maintain greenhouse data integrity and pipeline performance.
- Employer branding: Contribute to recruitment marketing initiatives to position Datavations as an employer of choice.
People Operations & HR Infrastructure
- Scalable systems: Design HR policies across onboarding, offboarding, and benefits.
- Tech management: Oversee Justworks (PEO) and Greenhouse (ATS).
- Data‑driven insights: Track HR metrics to inform hiring, retention, and engagement.
- Compensation planning: Partner with Finance on salary structures and budgeting.
Employee Experience
- Onboarding & offboarding: Create smooth transitions and sustained engagement.
- Culture building: Drive internal communications and NYC‑based events.
- Employee support: Act as a trusted contact for HR questions and issues.
- Engagement analytics: Use data to recommend improvements to employee experience.
Manager Coaching & Performance
- Leadership enablement: Equip managers with tools and training.
- Performance cycles: Manage reviews, goal setting, and feedback frameworks.
- Continuous feedback: Champion a culture of growth and accountability.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Legal compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Policy management: Maintain employee handbooks and records.
- Payroll & equity: Partner with Finance and Legal on compliance needs.
Performance & Total Rewards
- Performance management: Align review processes with company goals.
- Career development: Support learning initiatives and growth opportunities.
- Compensation programs: Manage salary reviews, promotions, and equity administration.
- Benefits administration: Oversee health, dental, vision, 401k, wellness programs, and vendor relationships.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of progressive people operations or talent experience.
- Minimum 2+ years recruiting in a SaaS startup environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance and multi‑state employment laws.
- Experience with HR systems (Justworks, Greenhouse, or similar).
- Proven ability to thrive in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in compensation planning and benefits administration.
- High integrity and discretion with confidential information.
- Comfortable being both strategic and hands‑on in a lean team.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $130,000–$150,000 per year (based on experience).
