About the Role

This position is based in Doha, Qatar, and offers an exciting opportunity to work on some of the region’s most ambitious development projects.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the design review process across multiple disciplines, ensuring that all project deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and quality standards. This role requires not only technical expertise but also strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
As a Project Manager
- Design Review, your main duties will include:
- Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and manage the design review process across architectural, structural, and engineering disciplines.
- Act as the focal point for all design review correspondence, meetings, and workshops.
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Technical Oversight
- Review design drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure compliance with codes, contracts, and design intent.
- Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or risks in design submissions and coordinate resolutions.
- Conduct interdisciplinary design coordination meetings to ensure integration across disciplines.
Project Management
- Track and manage deliverables, aligning them with project milestones.
- Maintain a structured design review tracking system for monitoring progress and reporting.
- Manage design changes through proper documentation and communication.
Compliance & Regulations
- Liaise with local regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with statutory and permitting requirements.
- Keep the design review team updated on the latest local regulations.
Continuous Improvement
- Integrate lessons learned and best practices from previous projects.
- Provide regular updates on design review progress, risks, and required actions.
Team & Business Development
- Plan and manage resource utilization effectively.
- Support team development and training initiatives.
- Assist in business development and bid preparation activities.
- Monitor project financials and prepare management reports.
Qualifications & Skills
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in design management or technical review roles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering (Master’s or PhD is an advantage).
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects in the GCC region.
- Professional certification such as PMP or APM is highly desirable.
- Licensed Architect or Engineer by a recognized international body.
- Experience managing the entire project lifecycle, from concept to post-occupancy.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Awareness of 2D/3D design software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
