About the Role – Senior Accountant
We are seeking a senior accountant to strengthen our financial operations in Partille, Sweden. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with IFRS standards, supporting month-end close, and driving financial accuracy across international teams.

Key Responsibilities
1. Month-End Close & Reporting
- Complete month-end close within 3 business days.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Generate accurate financial statements using NetSuite.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Provide banking and treasury support.
2. Compliance & Controls
- Maintain financial records aligned with IFRS standards.
- Support audits and tax authority requests.
- Develop and enforce financial policies and controls.
- Ensure transparency and accuracy in accounting practices.
3. Tax Preparation
- Prepare VAT reports and payroll taxes.
- Ensure compliance with Swedish tax regulations.
- Align reporting with Sandvik Group standards.
4. Payroll Review
- Verify payroll accuracy.
- Review payroll journal entries before monthly close.
- Ensure compliance with compensation policies.
5.Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes.
- Contribute to NetSuite system enhancements.
- Document new processes and update policies.
- Support cross-functional initiatives for efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years in accounting or financial operations.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Experience with intercompany transactions preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in Swedish and English required.
