About Us
Agile Space Industries is a fast-growing company at the cutting edge of space — designing, building, and testing in-space propulsion systems that power spacecraft missions ranging from lunar landings and resource utilization, to defense, exploration, and commercial space transport. With over 40% year-over-year growth for the past three years and operations expanding across multiple U.S. sites, we’re looking for bold, driven individuals ready to join a close-knit, innovative team dedicated to the next chapter in space history.
We’re seeking a Project Finance Analyst who thrives in a hands-on, dynamic environment and wants to contribute to aerospace and defense programs by keeping financials precise, compliant, and aligned with strategic goals.
What You’ll Do
- Support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-tracking across assigned programs.
- Maintain accurate project financial data (labor, materials, subcontractor costs, ODC, etc.) in Deltek Costpoint — ensuring alignment with contract structure and requirements.
- Prepare regular program financial reports: actual vs. budget, Estimate to Complete (ETC) / Estimate at Completion (EAC), burn-rate analysis, monthly program summaries.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to monitor performance — identify financial risks early and recommend corrective actions.
- Handle revenue recognition, indirect rate calculations, and support monthly financial close activities.
- Review labor/materials/subcontractor charges for accuracy, compliance, and internal controls.
- Provide financial input for proposals, RFPs, ROMs, and contract modifications.
- Coordinate with Accounting and Contracts teams to support billing, funding, and contract changes.
- Build and maintain standardized financial dashboards and reporting tools for leadership visibility.
- Support internal and external audits (e.g., government audits) — ensure compliance and accurate documentation.
- Assist with project setup, closeout, and ongoing cost control compliance.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project finance, program control, or financial analysis in a government-contracting / defense / aerospace context.
- Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint (project setup, cost tracking, reporting).
- Familiarity with government contracting cost accounting standards — e.g. FAR, DFARS, CAS.
- Strong analytical skills — ability to interpret financial data, spot trends/risks, and make actionable recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data-modelling).
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Strong communication and collaboration skills — comfortable working across technical, business, and leadership teams.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have:
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, R&D or engineering programs.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) tools (e.g. Cobra).
- Experience with government invoicing platforms (e.g. WAWF / iRAPT).
- Background in pricing or proposal costing.
- Active or prior security clearance.
What You’ll Get
- Competitive salary within the posted range.
- Robust benefits: comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage; Flexible Time Off; parental leave; 401(k) with 100% company match up to 4%
- A fast-paced, mission-driven work environment with real impact — helping shape projects that push the boundaries of space technology.
- Opportunity to work in a collaborative, inclusive culture that values diversity and encourages all qualified candidates to apply, even if they don’t match every requirement.
- If you’re excited by the possibilities and have the skills and drive to support high-stakes aerospace and defense programs — we’d love to hear from you.
