Key Responsibilities of the Internal Auditor
As part of the Internal Audit team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Performing internal audit procedures across group companies to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Reviewing write-off, disposal, and liquidation memos to ensure proper authorization and documentation
Conducting petty cash audits, sampling, and reconciliations
Participating in inventory stock counts and stocktaking exercises
Evaluating existing internal controls and identifying control weaknesses and process gaps
Preparing clear audit findings and providing practical, actionable recommendations
Ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Supporting management in improving operational efficiency and risk mitigation
Maintaining proper audit documentation and working papers
Required Qualifications & Experience
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this Internal Auditor job in Qatar, candidates should meet the following criteria:
2 to 3 years of experience in internal audit or external audit
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and reporting abilities
Ability to work independently and manage audit assignments efficiently
Qatar experience is mandatory
Good understanding of internal controls, audit standards, and compliance practices
Preferred Skills & Certifications
Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, or ACCA (in progress) are an added advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with ERP systems and audit tools is a plus
