This is a permanent, full-time position based in Doha, Qatar, offering a dynamic work environment and the chance to grow within a reputable organization.
Key Responsibilities
As the HR Payroll Officer, your day-to-day tasks will include:
Payroll Management
- Process monthly payroll with accuracy and timeliness.
- Input work hours, overtime, bonuses, and deductions into the payroll system.
- Update payroll records for new hires, resignations, promotions, and salary changes.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure correct tax calculations and statutory deductions.
Employee Records & HRIS
- Maintain and update employee payroll data in the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Ensure benefits, allowances, and deductions are correctly applied.
- Generate payroll reports for HR and Finance departments.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure payroll practices comply with Qatar labor laws and internal policies.
- Review payroll reports before salary disbursement.
- Assist with year-end reporting and payroll audits.
Employee Support
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related queries.
- Resolve issues related to salary discrepancies, deductions, and leave balances.
- Guide employees through payroll procedures and policies.
Timekeeping & Leave Management
- Monitor employee attendance and validate timecards.
- Process paid time off (PTO), sick leave, and other leave types.
- Address inconsistencies between time records and payroll data.
Confidentiality & HR Support
- Handle sensitive payroll information with strict confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department when needed.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on payroll experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Familiarity with Qatar labor laws and compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication abilities and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to manage confidential data with integrity.
- Arabic nationality preferred.
