Role Summary: Finance Director Hungary
As Finance Director, you’ll be the financial backbone of our Hungarian operations. You’ll lead a talented team, ensure compliance, optimize performance, and act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, international environments, and is passionate about finance transformation, automation, and cross-border collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Leadership
Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial risks
Lead banking relationships, financing structures, and investment analysis
Present financial KPIs, variance reports, and business insights to management
Drive process automation, cost optimization, and digital finance tools
Collaborate with group finance on standardization and best practices
Accounting & Compliance
Oversee monthly closings, statutory reporting, and group consolidation
Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and tax regulations
Manage accounts receivable, credit risk, and collections
Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
Support internal controls and audit readiness
Qualifications & Skills
We’re looking for a finance expert with a strategic mindset and hands-on leadership style.
Must-Have:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
Registered accountant certification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or controlling
Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and tax law
Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and financial modeling
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Valid B category driver’s license
Nice-to-Have:
Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or manufacturing
Familiarity with digital finance tools, BI dashboards, or ERP upgrades
Leadership experience in multinational teams
