Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will play a critical role in managing financial operations and leading a high-performing finance team. Your key duties include:
- Designing and refining credit policies to improve sales performance while minimizing bad debt
- Overseeing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Treasury operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Conducting credit risk assessments for new and existing customers and setting appropriate credit limits
- Monitoring bank balances and cash flow, including inter-account transfers and liquidity planning
- Supporting cash flow forecasting and providing financial insights to management
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the AR/AP team to maintain high productivity standards
- Driving process improvements and system enhancements to strengthen financial controls
- Collaborating with internal departments such as underwriting, distribution, and operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Strong experience in credit management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions
- Background in insurance or financial services will be a strong advantage
- Proven team leadership and people management experience
- In-depth knowledge of credit risk, collections, and treasury control frameworks
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with computerized accounting systems
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
