A prestigious Urban Tech Company in Qatar is seeking a talented Internal Auditor to lead and oversee the auditing and compliance functions within its expanding REIT division.
The Role:
This position is not just about checking numbers.
As the Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial transparency, legal compliance, and operational integrity of a newly established Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).
You’ll be responsible for maintaining compliance with Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) regulations and international auditing standards — helping the organization build trust and accountability at every level.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to demonstrate your expertise across the following critical areas:
REIT Oversight: Conduct audits and monitoring for new REIT structures and ensure they meet both local and international financial standards.
Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with all QFC and global REIT regulations in every financial and operational activity.
Internal Review: Analyze company reports, financial statements, and operational processes to identify and correct any irregularities.
Risk Management: Detect potential financial and operational risks and implement strong internal control systems to reduce exposure.
Reporting: Prepare detailed and transparent audit reports summarizing key findings, risks, and recommendations for senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 5 years of experience in auditing or finance - this is an essential qualification.
Those with direct experience in the real estate or fund management industry will be highly preferred. Also, in-depth knowledge of QFC and REIT regulations is important as it plays a key role in financial discipline and control. The candidate should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and report preparation skills — all of which are critical skills. Additionally, professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or ISO 55001 will be an added advantage.
