Five key job descriptions and responsibilities for different levels in the accounting field:
1. Accountant – General Ledger / Accounts Payable
The person working in this role must accurately maintain daily accounting records, expenses, and budget information.
Main Responsibilities:
Performing General Ledger entries and monthly reconciliation tasks.
Efficiently handle vendor invoices, payments and accounts payable processes.
Month-end closing and preparation of basic financial reports.
Uploading accounts through ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
Preparing necessary data and documents during the audit.
2. Assistant Accountant – General Ledger / Accounts Payable
This position will assist the Accountant. The main task is to organize daily financial entries and documents.
Main Responsibilities:
Reconciliation of supplier statements.
Performing invoice verification and payment posting tasks.
Maintaining daily data entry and document filing.
Assisting the Accounts team with monthly closing activities.
Handling vouchers, purchase orders and petty cash records.
3. Senior Accountant – General Ledger / Accounts Payable
He oversees the entire accounting cycle and ensures the quality and compliance of financial statements.
Main responsibilities:
Maintaining GL, AP and AR processes in compliance with Audit standards.
Implementing and monitoring IFRS standards and compliance norms.
Mentoring for junior accountants.
Reviewing project-wise budget and expenditure.
Preparing and submitting detailed financial statements and variance reports.
4. Head – General Ledger
This management position manages the entire General Ledger division and is responsible for its accuracy and policy development.
Main responsibilities:
Ensuring that all GL accounts are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
Identifying ways to improve automation and accuracy in ERP systems.
Managing ongoing periodic reconciliation, reporting and audit coordination tasks.
Developing the company's financial operating policies in accordance with the latest accounting standards.
Submitting monthly/quarterly reports to senior management.
5. Manager – Accounting
This is a critical management responsibility that leads the entire accounting department and determines the company's financial strategies.
Main responsibilities:
Leading the finance team, planning work and managing resource allocation.
Oversee and approve cash flow and budgeting processes.
Maintaining audit, compliance and internal control systems.
Leading the company's strategic financial planning and forecasting activities.
Conducting financial risk assessment in government healthcare projects.
Core Requirements for this opportunity:

Educational Qualification: A recognized Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CA, CPA, or ACCA certification is preferred.
Experience: At least 3 to 10 years of direct experience in General Ledger, Accounts Payable or Full-cycle accounting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (especially SAP / Oracle) and MS Excel.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IFRS standards and audit compliance protocols.
