We are a leading HR consulting and recruitment firm specializing in placing top talent in the energy, construction, and infrastructure industries across the Middle East. Right now, one of our prestigious clients in Qatar — a major player in the oil and gas industry — is urgently looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their project finance team in Doha.

What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):
- Oversee and monitor project costs on a daily/weekly/monthly basis for multi-million-dollar oil & gas projects
- Perform detailed variance analysis between budgeted and actual costs and recommend corrective actions to keep projects financially on track
- Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections for senior management and stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with project managers, operations teams, procurement, and external auditors to ensure smooth financial operations
- Manage budgeting, cost control, invoicing, and banking activities related to the project
- Ensure full compliance with international accounting standards, company policies, and local regulations in Qatar
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for the project
- Support financial audits and provide all necessary documentation and explanations
Who We’re Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent will be a big advantage
- Minimum 8–12 years of progressive finance experience
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in project finance within the oil & gas or energy industry (mandatory)
- Expert-level knowledge of project accounting, cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of banking operations, letters of credit, guarantees, and project-related financial instruments
- Advanced skills in MS Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic project environment
- Previous experience working in Qatar or the GCC region is a strong plus
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
