Key Responsibilities
As a Staff Accountant at Practice Better, you will:
Prepare journal entries for accruals, deferrals, prepaids, and adjustments.
Assist with month-end close procedures and meet established deadlines.
Complete account and bank reconciliations with supporting documentation.
Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
Manage Float card reconciliations, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
Prepare semi-monthly payroll data for review, ensuring accuracy in deductions and benefits.
Collaborate with HR to ensure employee data changes are reflected in payroll.
Support audit fieldwork by preparing documentation and pulling samples for testing.
Generate ad hoc reports for variance analysis and internal reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
2–3 years of accounting experience in a B2B SaaS company.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with accounting tools such as Xero and Float Financial.
Analytical mindset with adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Curiosity and problem-solving skills, with a focus on solutions over perfection.
Bonus Points
Experience working in a 5-day close environment.
Knowledge of US GAAP.
