The Bookkeeper will be a key part of the Finance Department, responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records across multiple business units. The role supports daily operations and ensures strong financial controls within a multi-company structure that includes:

Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper
🔹 Multi-Company Accounting
Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple entities within the group
Ensure transactions are recorded in the correct company books
Handle intercompany entries and shared cost allocations
Support intra-group accounting and reconciliations
🔹 Daily & Weekly Financial Transactions
Record sales, purchases, expenses, petty cash, and bank transactions
Maintain journals, ledgers, and reconciliation schedules
Ensure proper documentation from all departments including retail, warehouse, restaurants, HR, and operations
Keep financial records organized and audit-ready
🔹 Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
Process supplier invoices for all companies
Prepare consolidated payment schedules
Monitor customer receivables including wholesale and retail clients
Reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts
🔹 Banking & Cash Reconciliation
Perform regular bank reconciliations for each company account
Track cash movement between shops, warehouses, restaurants, and head office
Ensure timely deposits and proper cash control procedures
🔹 Inventory & Cost Support
Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to match POs, delivery notes, and invoices
Assist with monthly stock counts and variance analysis
Support cost tracking for uniforms, retail inventory, restaurant consumables, and shared logistics
🔹 Reporting & Compliance
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports for individual companies and the group
Support VAT compliance (if applicable)
Maintain accurate records for audits and internal reviews
🔹 Group Finance Support
Assist with group-level accounting schedules and consolidations
Support intercompany settlements and balance confirmations
Contribute to improving accounting systems and financial efficiency
Qualifications & Skills Required
Educational Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience & Technical Skills
2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Experience handling multiple entities is a strong advantage
Proficiency in accounting software such as:
QuickBooks
Tally
Zoho Books
Strong Excel skills including:
Pivot Tables
VLOOKUP
Reconciliation formulas
Personal & Professional Skills
