Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant at Altrad Sparrows, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting management with reliable financial information. Your core duties will include:
- Preparing a full set of monthly management accounts
- Performing variance analysis and financial reporting
- Ensuring monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately
- Maintaining and reconciling the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
- Monitoring debtor ageing reports and following up on outstanding invoices
- Supporting timely settlement of customer invoices
- Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and company procedures
- Working closely with internal teams to meet reporting deadlines
This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- ACCA qualification is preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in project accounting will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
