Key Responsibilities – Accountant Jobs in Qatar
As an Accountant at Qatar Charity, you will play a critical role in monitoring financial performance, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with approved financial policies.
Financial Monitoring & Reporting
- Conduct regular monitoring of financial performance across departments
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on expenses and revenues
- Analyze financial data to support management decision-making
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Follow up on budget transfers and budget additions
- Prepare sub-budgets for different administrative and operational departments
- Verify expenses against approved budgets to ensure compliance
Payments & Disbursement Review
- Review and audit disbursement and payment transactions
- Ensure all payments follow approved financial procedures and policies
- Identify discrepancies and report necessary corrections
Compliance & Documentation
- Submit requests for budget transfer or additional approvals
- Prepare general expense reports and communicate corrections to relevant departments
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and local financial regulations
Required Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience
- Experience in NGOs, charities, or large organizations is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Financial analysis and detailed reporting expertise
Languages
- Arabic – Preferred
- English – Mandatory
Knowledge Requirements
- Strong understanding of IFRS
- Familiarity with local financial regulations in Qatar
