Accountant Job Description
As an Accountant in Doha, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with Qatar financial regulations and company policies. This role involves monthly closing, financial reporting, bank reconciliations, VAT filing, and coordination with auditors and internal stakeholders.
This position requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment, communicate effectively with clients and management, and deliver accurate financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities of Accountant Job in Qatar
- Manage daily accounting entries, journals, and accruals
- Perform month-end and year-end closing in ERP systems
- Prepare Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
- Handle bank reconciliations and liaise with banks when required
- Prepare documents for external audits and compliance reviews
- Ensure accurate VAT calculation, filing, and payment in Qatar
- Maintain compliance with Qatar tax laws and government regulations
- Handle LC documentation, banking operations, and debtor management
- Monitor credit policies and control outstanding receivables
- Support pricing analysis, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization
- Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and third parties for transactions

Job Requirements & Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
Professional Certification (Preferred)
